Anything’s Paw-sible at Sunset Bark

You just finished planning a big trip, you’re all set to go—but wait! You forgot to plan for your pet!

How many times has this happened to you?

Two new entrepreneurs have come to save the day with Sunset Bark, a new pet daycare and grooming facility for all your furry best friend’s needs.

Aiden and Wendy Garfield, long time residents of the neighborhood, have both been searching for the perfect Shang Heights location for months. Their dream of opening a doggy day care center—complete with grooming, training, and boarding facilities—was one they had harbored since Aiden left his comfortable law practice to start a business with his wife.

“We just wanted to make sure the time was right.” said Wendy, when I visited the Garfields at their care center at 815 8th Avenue. “I felt comfortable stepping back into professional life after staying home for five years with the twins, and Aiden was just so sick of the rat race.”

“We both always just loved animals,” added Aiden.

“And the 8th Avenue location couldn’t be beat, so we said ‘Why not?’”

Check their website [the website] for rates, and innovative services, including the option to actually be boarded WITH your dog.

“That one is really cool, inspired by those great Korean spas out in Flushing. We give you and your pet a grooming session, dual pedicures and baths in our super facility, and then we have an oversized doggy crate that we had specially outfitted to be comfortable for the dog and the owner. We thought it might be nice just to change up routines, you know?”

Consider Sunset Bark a TOTAL departure from the norm.
